Blocked toilet unblocked

A blocked toilet in the only bathroom is an emergency in any household. We clear blockages in the pan, trap and soil pipe with the right tools, protect your floor while we work and leave the bathroom clean.

24/7 emergency call-out, 365 days a year

If the water is rising, stop flushing and turn off the isolation valve on the cistern pipe (a small screw you turn a quarter turn with a flat screwdriver).

When to call us

  • Water rises to the rim when you flush
  • The toilet drains very slowly or gurgles
  • Other plugholes bubble when you flush
  • Wipes, nappies or an object have gone down the toilet

What’s included

  • Clearing the pan, trap and soil pipe
  • Removing and refitting the toilet where the blockage is in the outlet
  • Pan connector replacement if it has failed
  • Advice if the blockage is in the shared drain or sewer

Inside the house or outside?

If every toilet and drain in the house is backing up, the blockage is probably in the external drain or sewer. We will tell you straight away if you need a drainage specialist or the water company, so you do not pay for the wrong visit.

What customers say

“Very good service. On-time. Upfront rate quotes were reasonable. They diagnosed a water heater problem as part of the same service call and it was fixed quickly. I'll use them again no question.”

Blocked toilets: common questions

Should I keep plunging?

A few firm pushes with a proper toilet plunger is fine. Stop if the water is near the rim, and never use strong chemicals before calling us: they are dangerous when the trap is opened.

Do you come out at night for a blocked toilet?

Yes, if it is your only toilet. Out-of-hours work is £180 an hour including VAT (£150 + VAT), and we will tell you that before we set off.
